Florian Charléty
Systems & UX Design · Montreal
A lifelong passion for video games led me to redirect my film career into an adventure in game design.
I now design systems and prototypes, primarily with UE5.
I like to start from solid foundations or existing concepts and build from there. I listen, I compile ideas, and I pull out what has the most impact for the essence of the project.

Transition to video games

Left France alone for Montreal
New life, new encounters, new path. Bachelor's degree in Cinema at Université de Montréal - a program that deeply shaped my visual and narrative sensibility.
STI2D Baccalaureate - SIN Specialization
Science and technology of industry and sustainable development, specializing in information and digital systems. Cégep equivalency, preparatory to engineering schools.
Schooling in France
General curriculum alongside a Naval Military Preparation program. Built a foundation of rigor, discipline and teamwork.
What drives my work
Curiosity
I explore beyond what's expected. Every project is an opportunity to learn, whether it's a technology, a system or a way of collaborating.
Communication
I consider communication the designer's primary tool. Knowing how to listen, articulate and clearly convey an intent.
Craft
Whether it's a system, a page or a piece of feedback, I aim to deliver something I'm proud of. I like being a solid reference point for the teams I work with.
